Messiah International Christian Academy

The Messiah International Christian Academy's mission is to nourish the children of Liberia spiritually, mentally, and physically. The school provides children educational opportunities, serves a hot meal during their school day, furnishes medical treatment when needed, and shares the gospel of Jesus Christ.

A Child’s Life and their partner in Liberia, Bishop Dekontee Panton, worked together in building the school. Bishop Panton knew that these children would never be able to attend school due to their living situation and not have choices for the future. He was aware that the only way out of extreme poverty and the way in which they live was through education. It was his vision that resulted in the elementary school.

A Far Reaching Ministry sponsors 50 of the children at the school and it is through their continued support that expansion has been possible. The school started out as a learning center and within a year it was possible to build an elementary school that has the capacity for 175 students. The school covers grades from nursery school through 6th grade.

The staff includes two nurses that can provide medical treatment when needed and cooks that are responsible for preparing a daily meal for the children. The most important aspect of their education is learning about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and of His love and they hear about that every day.
